Xiinbal — a word rooted in the Maya language meaning "to walk" or "to journey" — was born from a simple belief: that the best way to discover a place is through the eyes of someone who calls it home.
We started with a single tour and a genuine desire to show visitors the side of Costa Maya that most never get to see. Not the curated cruise port experience, but the real thing — ancient ruins hidden in the jungle, a lagoon that changes color with the light, roads lined with palms and the unhurried pace of life that defines this region.
Today, Xiinbal Costa Maya Tours offers two signature experiences — the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins Tour and the Bacalar Lake of Seven Colors Tour — along with private and group transportation, all operated by guides who were born, raised and deeply invested in this land.
